Alpha Centauri A/B, Proxima, and Proxima b reuse the Sun and Mars maps as artistic stand-ins —
no true imagery of those bodies exists. CDN fallback textures served from the three.js examples planet set.

Moon: truncated Meeus/ELP analytic series (~0.3°). Sun: low-precision solar ephemeris.
Cislunar & Lagrange-point spacecraft are SEEDED analytic approximations — plausible geometry and scale,
deterministic phases — NOT live SPICE data. Not for operational use.
SOLAR mode: planet positions from JPL "approximate elements" (1800–2050) evaluated analytically.
Alpha Centauri placed at 4.37 ly along a fixed direction (its true distance; direction schematic).
Warp speeds are a teaching abstraction (coordinate speed), not relativistic physics.
The live CelesTrak fetch failed and no cached catalog, local snapshot, or prior data was found. Note: CelesTrak blocks repeat downloads of the same file within ~2 hours — if you were just rate-limited, waiting is the fix, and RETRY will extend the block. Recommended: run orca_satcat_prep.py in this folder (writes active.tle), then reload. Or download manually:

Save the result as active.tle (or any .txt) and select it:
